Implementation of 'Consolidated Visa for Overseas Koreans'
Summary
The Ministry of Justice is unifying the H-2 and F-4 visas into a single F-4 visa for overseas Koreans starting February 12, 2026. New H-2 visas will no longer be issued, but F-4 visa holders will have expanded employment opportunities. Refer to the attached document or call 1345 for details.
The Ministry of Justice will implement the 'Consolidated Visa for Overseas Koreans' with uniform standards applicable to all countries, effective February 12, 2026 (Thursday). Accordingly, the current dual system of Overseas Korean visas (H-2, F-4) will be unified into the Overseas Korean (F-4) visa, and the issuance of new Working Visit (H-2) visas will be suspended. Furthermore, the scope of employment for Overseas Koreans (F-4) visa holders will be expanded.
