Notification of Change in Guidance Method for Nationality Application Review Period
Summary
The method for providing guidance on nationality application review periods is changing to an individual confirmation system, scheduled for implementation in the third quarter of 2026. Until the new system is in place, starting in February 2026, guidance will be provided via an attached document. Applicants will be able to check their individual review period by logging into the Hi Korea website.
Notification of Change in Guidance Method for Nationality Application Review Period
Previously, the review period for each type of nationality application was announced on the Hi Korea website. However, to provide more accurate guidance on the review period for nationality applications, the guidance method will be changed to an individual confirmation method (scheduled for the third quarter of 2026).
After the change, you will be able to check your individual naturalization and nationality restoration review period information by logging in to the [Hi Korea website] - [Check Nationality Application Progress] menu.
In the meantime, from February 2026 until the system is improved, we would like to change the notification method as shown in the 'Attachment' to provide accurate guidance on the review period. Thank you.
