Guidance on Expanded Implementation of Online Reporting System for Foreign Nationals' Employment Information
Summary
The Ministry of Justice is expanding the online employment information reporting system for foreigners starting January 2, 2026, allowing easier online reporting. Foreigners with specific visa statuses (E-1, E-2, etc.) engaged in for-profit activities must report their employment information and any changes within 15 days.
The Ministry of Justice will expand the 「Online Reporting System for Foreign Nationals' Employment Information」 starting January 2, 2026 (Fri), allowing foreign nationals engaged in for-profit activities to easily report their employment information online without visiting an Immigration Office in person. Foreign nationals engaged in for-profit activities can conveniently report (update) their employment information when applying for a visit reservation to the Immigration Office through the Hi Korea website (hikorea.go.kr). Guidance on the Obligation to Report Employment Information for Foreign Nationals
□ Foreign nationals with the following Status of Stay who are engaged in for-profit activities, including self-employed individuals, must report their employment information (occupation, industry, annual income). If changes occur (change of reported occupation or industry, change of reported annual income bracket), they must report within 15 days from the date of the change (?Enforcement Regulations of the Immigration Act? Article 47, No. 6 and Article 49-2, No. 6).
