Guidance on the 2025 Gross National Income (GNI) Application Standard
Summary
This notice provides the 2025 per capita Gross National Income (GNI) standard of KRW 52,416,000, which will be applied from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, for various visa categories. An exception applies to the E-7 visa, where the 2024 GNI standard will continue to be used until March 2027; new wage standards may be introduced in the second half of 2026.
Regarding the Bank of Korea's announcement of the previous year's per capita Gross National Income (GNI) in March '26, we would like to inform you of the per capita GNI standard applied to income and financial requirements for stay and visa screening as follows.
2025 Per Capita Gross National Income (GNI) Application Standard
- (Applicable GNI): KRW 52,416,000
- (Application Period): April 1, '26 ~ March 31, '27
- (Applicable Target): All Status of Stay that require GNI as a requirement
- (Application Exception): For the Specified Activity (E-7) visa only, the '24 standard of KRW 49,950,000 is applied (until March '27).
Note: When a separate wage system for employment visas is established, new wage standards will be applied and announced (second half of '26).
